To buildOn, education is a human right, and we are happy to support them this February! Every 10 Facebook check-ins and reviews will provide a brick to build a school for kids in need!
Internationally, buildOn has built over 2000 schools. They work with rural communities in developing countries to help empower local residents to build schools, enroll kids who have left school, and also educate adult learners! They have helped communities in Guatemala, Haiti, Burkina Faso, Malawi, Nicaragua, Mali, Nepal, Senegal. They have created a sustainable approach that builds schools with their communities not just for them!
An important piece to remember is, that while we do partner with buildOn and help them build schools around the world, they do more than build schools! They have a wonderful program here in the United States that helps students in some of America’s most under-resourced high schools. Students that are a part of buildOn’s Service Learning Program are empowered to take on some of the most challenging issues in their communities through direct action. These students learn service through first hand experiences in regards to helping the elderly, the unhoused, and mentoring younger children.
